Mickey H. Osterreicher has been a photojournalist for over forty years, working first for the Buffalo Courier-Express as a staff photographer until its demise in 1982 and then at WKBW-TV, the ABC affiliate in Buffalo, NY. His work has appeared in such publications as the New York Times, Time, Newsweek and USA Today as well as on ABC World News Tonight, Nightline, Good Morning America, NBC Nightly News and ESPN.

As General Counsel for the National Press Photographers Association, he has vociferously defended and advocated for the First Amendment rights of visual journalists throughout the country. 

He has written and lectured extensively about First Amendment issues (see Publications).
