Mickey H. Osterreicher graduated cum laude from law school in 1998 after having been a photojournalist for thirty years. He now has a family law practice and has acted as law guardian in numerous cases for children whose parents are divorcing. This experience coupled with his perspective as an objective photojournalist at the Buffalo Courier-Express and at WKBW-TV uniquely qualifies him to advocate and negotiate fairly and effectively on behalf of his clients. He has received numerous awards and recognition from such organizations as: the Erie County Legislature and the Erie County Coalition Against Family Violence for co-production of 30-minute television special, “Stop the Violence;” the 1998 Media Award from Erie County Bar Association in recognition of continuing work in Domestic Violence Awareness; the 1994 Reserve Deputy of the Year Award from the Erie County Sheriff’s Department Badge & Shield Club; and the 2002 Liberty Bell Award from Erie County Bar Association given in appreciation of outstanding service to the community.
